The walk takes about 5-6 hours
1
Our tours for you are done privately!
The walk takes about 5 hours. (70% downhill of mountain / 30% uphill)
In this route we go down the trail from Prionia to the monastery of St. Dionysios and finally to Litochoro. (Although it is way down there are some uphills points)
We meet at Litochoro, the main little town of the eastern side of Mt. Olympus. From Litochoro we will be transported by road - after consultation*- to the hiking base at the local ΄Prionia' (asphalt road).-or by choice the departure of the hike can start from the Monastery.
*NOTE: the arrival at the hiking base should be done by taxi (cost 30€) and the reason is that we will return to Litochoro by hiking.
We are at 1100m altitude and from where we start our walk. It is an amazingly beautiful place to cross, drowned in greenery, with Enipeas stream running along with us. On the way, we stop by one of the numerous crystal clear pools, where we have our lunch and drinks. Our guides will introduce you to the very interesting and unique in many cases flora of Mt. Olympus! We are at the very heart of the lower part of the mountain. We finish at the Milos Litochorou location just outside Litochoro, at 300m altitude.
Duration: 5~6 hours
Altitude Difference: 750 m.
Route of moderate difficulty
Length: 10 Km
-from monastery: 7 Km

The walk takes about 3 hours to go and the way back is around 2 hours.
We meet at Litochoro, the main little town of the eastern side of Mt. Olympus. From Litochoro we will be transported by road - after consultation - to the hiking base at the local ΄Prionia' (asphalt road). At the Prionia location and parking space at 1100m, where we start off our walk. A stunningly beautiful place, dominated by impressive rock faces and enormous mountain pine trees.
A well paved path will take us up to 2100m and the refuge A { Spilios Agapitos }, in about 3.00’ hours, a good time to cover 1000m of altitude.
Unique views down to Enipeas gorge and the Aegean Sea, as well as the high summits above, accompany us all the way up to the refuge. We give time to ourselves to soak the energy and atmosphere of this very special place, while talking about the endless history of this mountain - symbol. The walk is classed as moderate.
The refuge* is situated on a natural balcony with amazing views all around! After a good rest, a drink and a light lunch.
* The refuge has an excellent kitchen and rooms for overnight stay if you decide in very reasonable prices.
